There is nothing much to write about Sri Lanka as they were made to toil hard with the ball and in the field. They were absolutely tired as we saw some sloppy fielding later on and couple of catches dropped which proved to be a big mistake. Henry Nicholls was dropped twice, one when he was new to the crease and one in his 90s. He came with a luck and made the most of the opportunity. New Zealand dominated throughout with Devon Conway scoring a fifty but then came the humongous stand between Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls of around 360.
Tim Southee was waiting for Henry Nicholls to reach his milestone as he declares the innings. The Wellington crowd has witnessed a special day as two local boys have scored double-centuries. Kane Williamson first and then Henry Nicholls followed him. New Zealand have ended with a mammoth score though.
