If you want to delete your Instagram account for whatever reason, there are two ways you can go about it. First, you can deactivate the account temporarily. Deactivate it temporarily

Instagram is one of the most popular social media sites. With over a billion users, it’s easy to see why. The site has a variety of tools for users to manage their profiles. One of the most basic is the ability to deactivate your account.

Deactivating your account will delete all data associated with it, but it does not mean you’ll lose access to your profile. If you decide you’re ready to come back, you can log in and reactivate your account.

To delete your account, you will need to select the appropriate options from the menu. You will also need to provide a valid email address. This is so you can receive your data.

Instagram allows you to deactivate your account temporarily once a week. However, if you do not log in within a week, it will automatically delete your account.

Log in to instagram.com from a computer.
Click your profile picture in the top right and click Profile, then click Edit profile.

Select an option from the drop-down menu next to Why are you deactivating your account? and re-enter your password. The option to deactivate your account will only appear after you’ve selected a reason from the menu and entered your password.
Click Temporarily deactivate account. Click Yes to confirm or No to cancel.

View/Download data

If you have forgotten your password or want to access your data from your account, there is an easy way. Instagram has a tool that allows you to download your data in several formats. This can include photos, messages, likes, comments, and other account information. You can also export your archived Stories and non-ephemeral messages.

When you log into your Instagram account, you’ll notice that there’s a new option at the bottom of your screen. It’s a button called “Download Data”. Click it, and you’ll be given the option to choose what type of file you would like to download. The format of your choice may vary depending on your device.

You can then enter your email address and choose a password. Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive an email from Instagram containing a link to download your data. Follow the instructions in the email and you’ll have your data in your inbox within 48 hours.

Single login for multiple Instagram accounts no longer exists

You may wonder if Instagram allows users to log in with a single login for multiple accounts. It used to be that a single Instagram account could be linked to more than one email address. However, that is no longer the case.

Instagram does not allow users to link more than five accounts. In order to manage more than five accounts, you must sign up on another device.

You can sign up for Instagram with a new email address or phone number. To add an additional account, you will need to create a password for your profile. Once you’ve established your username and password, you can start posting to your account.
