About the IPL 2023 Auction
The IPL 2023 Auction will take place on 16 December in Bengaluru. However, the exact dates have not yet been revealed. Cricket fans are eager to find out when the bidding war will commence and who will be sold at the highest price.
Besides the usual suspects, the auction will also feature some surprises. For instance, there will be a trading window, which is a unique opportunity for teams to negotiate deals with other teams. Interested parties can also make silent bids. These are not publicized, but the proceeds go towards the BCCI.
Moreover, the IPL 2023 auction will feature a few new rules. Teams will be able to retain up to 25 players. They can also keep their entire squads from the previous season. This will allow them to increase their purses.
Also, the IPL will include more international players than ever before. There will be 132 foreign players in the pool. While the majority will be Indians, four will come from associate nations.
All teams will be asked to submit a list of players they wish to retain by November 15, a few weeks before the IPL 2023 Auction. Aside from the standard player listing, franchises will be asked to nominate a number of unsigned players to fill out their roster.

IPL 2023 Match List
The upcoming 16th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) will start in March 2023. Ten teams will play a total of 74 matches. IPL’s schedule for 2023 is expected to feature a new “Home-Away” format. This will be the first time that IPL has been played in such a format.
In the league stage, each team will play fourteen matches. After this, the top four teams will qualify for the playoff round. Each group will have five teams.
The winners of each match get two points, while the losing team gets none. Teams with the same number of points are separated by the average runs scored per over. If a match is abandoned, the other team gets a point.
IPL teams are divided into seven Indian cities. They are SRH, MI, RCB, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat. There are a maximum of 25 players per team.
IPL is one of the most popular T20 cricket tournaments in the world. It is attended by diehard cricket fans. Players who are considered to be stars in the game participate in the IPL.
IPL Media Rights 2023
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is conducting an e-auction of the IPL Media Rights. It is the first time that IPL will have an e-auction.
This will be a multi-year deal that will run from 2023 to 2027. It will be sold through a competitive bidding process. The winning bidder is expected to spend at least Rs 23,575 crore.
The IPL is a big deal in the country and it has always delivered quick awareness to brands. But the most interesting thing about the deal is how the BCCI is using the revenue to spruce up its infrastructure and strengthen the domestic cricket structure.
In addition to television rights, the Board of Control for Cricket in India also sold the digital rights for the IPL. They were sold in four packages. Each package contained digital rights that were relevant for that region.
For example, the first package, called Package A, comprises TV rights for the Indian subcontinent. The second package, called Package B, comprises digital rights for the Indian subcontinent and the rest of the world.
